September Stress!

September is off to a stressful start for the Higgins family...UGH! The sad thing is it is only September 11th... how fitting as it is one of the most stressful days in US history. As I reflect over the past 11 days there is one reoccurring feeling....being OVERWHELMED!! This is the one feeling that seems to be capable of setting off a ripple effect in me causing chaos...lack of clarity, heightened anxiety, elevated frustration and depleted patience. My biggest challenge...getting the ripple back under control and seeing it for what it is...just that... a ripple, not a storm, not tidal wave and not even a hurricane. My prayer for the rest of September....calmer waters.

#8. Chandler's homework.....Math word problems that take 45 minutes to complete and a can of WD40 for mom's rusty wheels upstairs....Learning about the Iliad, Trojan War, Minoens (who????) and Japan??

#7. Berkley's struggle to move beyond Genesis 1:1 in her Bible class?

#6. One issue after another with the 2 houses that are about to close!!

#5. Getting therapy services up and running without ending up needing therapy myself?

#4. Berkley deciding Kindergarten was boring her and cutting the bottom ends of her braids off in class would be way more exciting?!?

#3. Dealing with a rental car because Breece's truck was almost stolen, but they couldn't complete the job so they just demolished his steering column, electrical system and ripped out the navigation system/stereo??!!

#2. Watching and helping my sweet sister's family as they evacuate from the Texas Coast to escape IKE (brother-in-law, sister, 3 nieces, 2 cats, 1 dog and dozens of photo albums)!
